Growing
Planting:
You can plant the seed directly in a pot of soil or place it in a plastic bag.
Before planting lime seeds be sure to wash them. Also, allow them to dry for a couple days, then plant them as soon as possible.
Plant seeds about ¼ to ½ inch deep in containers with well-draining soil.
Water plants up to 3 times a week, limes are usually full of moisture so thats why so little a week. (Gardening Know How)
Harvesting:
All you have to do is pick limes when ever they are fully ripened. To tell if the lime is ripe, you can use your senses. One of those senses is smell. Simpy scratch the lime with your fingernail and take a sniff. If it smells lime-y, that is a good sign it is ready. You can also use color as an indicator. The darker the lime, the more ready it is to be picked. (Hunker)
Storage:
Keeping:
Refrigeration: put your lime into a bag and keep refrigerated for 2 months.
Washing:
Rinse outside of lime off with water after you pick it. Let it sit at room temperature until you get ready to eat it. Or refrigerate for longer shelf life.
